Pittsburgh Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center's (PVSEC) comprehensive care center features the modern facilities and equipment necessary to offer the best care for our clients' pets. Our 30,295 square-foot multi-specialty veterinary center contains a variety of specialized areas to accommodate pets' needs.
Facility Overview
- 23 examination rooms, including two client consultation/bereavement rooms
- 90 Kennels and 38 Runs
- 11 patient wards, with six departmental and specialized wards, including:
- Surgical Recovery Ward
- Fluid Ward
- Intensive Care Ward
- Isolation Ward
- Exotics Ward
- Oncology Ward
- Five treatment areas in addition to intensive care and isolation units
- Five operating rooms for emergency, ophthalmology, neurology, orthopedic and soft-tissue surgery procedures

Education
PVSEC is committed to veterinary education and our center includes conference rooms for continuing education seminars and guest speakers. Additionally, in June 2009, PVSEC will welcome its first group of veterinarians to our small-animal internship program.
